Upright - A complex card relating to, deep bonds at unconscious levels, hauntings, psychic awareness, atmospheres, being “possessed” by someone in either a positive or negative way, and heightened sensitivity.

Reversed - Tends to be the same as the upright interpretation but more extreme.

Upright - For one woman the five of cups alongside the King of Cups depicted the constant reassurance she felt from her husband’s spirit even though he had passed over a few years before. She said that it had been a happy marriage and that she felt warmed by the connection she still felt with him.

Reversed - For one man it depicted the “atmosphere” he constantly felt every time he went home. He and his wife were not getting on well at the time and he found it oppressive and restrictive.
